Neurological Diseases
Neurological Diseases
Brain, spinal cord, and nerves are made of neurological tissue which has 3 types of cells. Neurons, astrocytes and glial cells. Neurons have the very poor capacity of regeneration as local stem cells are sparse in number. Once damaged by trauma or inflammation there is permanent disability.
Following are neurological Diseases which cannot be treated by existing modality of treatment and stem cell therapy is the only ray of hope.
Alzheimer disease
Parkinson's Disease
Traumatic paraplegia and quadriplegia
Beckers Dystrophy
Motor Neurone disorders
Stroke
Duchenne Muscle Dystrophy
Myasthenia gravis
Peripheral Neuropathies
ALZHEIMER DISEASE
This is a neurodegenerative disorder caused due to accumulation of TAU proteins and AB42 proteins in the cell of neurons and extra cellular region. The main features of Alzheimer's disease is dementia ie loss of memory and subsequently mood swings and disorientation approximately 50 million people worldwide suffer from this disease. Causes are genetic, environmental injuries to the brain, dietary habits, alcohol, diabetes and others.
Conventional treatment include drugs like tacrine, rivastigmine, galantamine, donepezil, and memantine, Though initially, patients can live independently but as the disease progresses patient has dependent living and life expectancy is 3-10 years. The social cost is high direct because of treatment and loss of productivity and caregiving.
PARKINSONS DISORDER
Approximately 7 million people suffer from tis disease annually and 1,00,000 die annually parkinson's disease is a long-term degenerative disorder of the central nervous system that mainly affects the motor system. The symptoms generally come on slowly over time. Early in the disease, the most obvious are shaking, rigidity, slowness of movement, and difficulty with walking ( short shuffling gate).
The cause of Parkinson's disease is generally unknown, but believed to involve both genetic and environmental factors. The motor symptoms of the disease result from the death of cells in the substantia nigra, a region of the midbrain. This results in not enough dopamine in these areas.
There is no cure for Parkinson's disease. Initial treatment is typically with the antiparkinson medication L-DOPA (levodopa), MAO inhibitors, COMT inhibitors etc.
Stem cell therapy is a promising therapy and stem cells are harvested from adipose tissue and bone marrow and processed in high precision lab and given intrathecally and IV at 1 month interval for 3 sittings. This is being done as a day care procedure in our centre.
MOTOR NEURONE DISORDER
This disease is also called as amyotropic lateral sclerosis or Lou Gehrigs disease after famous basket ball player. Mainly neurones near internal capsule are affected.
It is classified as ALS, PLS, PMA, bulbar palsy and pseudobulbar palsy. Disease is fast progressing and survival is 2 years and slow progressing is 10 years. Presents both as upper motor neurone and lower motor neurone.
Fasciculation’s, rigidity, exaggeration of reflexes, loss of muscle power are important clinical manifestation of this disorder.
Riluzone is the only drug available to prolong the symptoms.
Only ray of hope to such patients is stem cell therapy and patient require 5 sittings at 1 month interval than PRP shots at every 3 months interval. Injections are given intrathecal and IV as day care procedure.
STROKE
Stroke or cerebrovascular accidents are because of hypertension, valvular heart lesions etc.
There can be cerebral thrombosis or rupture of blood vessels leading to sub arachnoid haemorrhages. After the attack and proper treatment patient recovers but there is always a neurological deficit in the form of hemiplegias, facial palsy, aphasia, dysarthria. These neurones don’t completely die out but becomes non functional and can be rejuvenated by stem cell treatment.
Patients are given 3 sittings at 1 month interval by intrathecal and IV route.
TRAUMATIC PARAPLEGIA
Following accidents there is fracture in spine and spinal cord is damaged and there can be crushing of cord to complete transaction of cord. Because spinal cord cannot transmit signals patient loses power in lower limb and lacks control of bladder and bowel. Because of frequent lying patient develops bed sores.
The existing modality of treatment is spine surgery, physiotherapy but recovery of neurones is very poor. Stem cell therapy helps in regenerating the damaged neurones and restoring the functions.
Patients are given 3 sittings at 1 month interval by intrathecal and IV route.
DUCHENNE MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY
This disorder is due to defective gene called as dystrophin which is the largest gene in body having 2.4 million base pairs. Once the gene is defective muscle cannot maintain the cytoskeleton and it leads to inflammation and scarring and fat deposits (pseudo bulbar hyper trophy).
The child starts losing the motor power and by the age of 10 years becomes bed ridden and ultimately dies of cardiopulmonary failure by the age of 25 years. Exon skipper drugs are extensively like morpholino and exondys. Inhibitors of myostatin are also effective, catachien in cocoa is also effective.

Stem cell therapy can only work when bone marrow tissue is combined with adipose tissue. It has to be augmented with Wharton’s jelly mesenchymal cells also. Average 10 sittings are required to prolong the disorder and some recovery.
Bone Diseases
Bone Diseases
People suffer from bone Diseases like osteoarthritis knee joints, hip joint, ankle joint, nonunions malunions, avascular necrosis etc.
Out of these osteoarthritis knee joint is very common and can be treated by stem cell with excellent results.
It can be treated as a day care procedure, stitchless and scarless we make the patient walk on same day and resume regular duties next day.
Osteoarthritis Knee joints
Approximately 250 million people are suffering from this disorder worldwide.
With the commencement of aging around 45-50 years knee joints start giving way ie the process of degeneration had started. In Indian scenario osteoarthritis, knee joint is a very common problem and every 2nd person is suffering from knee pain, limps and restricted movement along with deformity.
When the patient goes to an orthopaedic surgeon he would immediately recommend a super major surgery “Total Knee Replacement” that means the patient would have to live on artificial joints for many years. This procedure itself is full of complication like infection malalignment, cardiopulmonary risk, and postoperative recovery takes 2 months.
These degenerated knee joints can be regenerated by giving patients own stem cell which helps in regenerating the articular cartilage. No risks of our procedure.
Heart Diseases
MYOCARDIAL INFARCTION
10 million people every year suffer from STEMI and NSTEMI.
Cardio vascular disorders contribute to.
10% Global disease burden
30% Global Mortality.
In 2005 The percentage of death baecause of cardio vasular diseases and IHD is shown as follows.
58 million death
17 million cardiovascular
7.6 million IHD
Ischemic heart disease means compromised blood supply to the heart. In spite heart is always filled with blood it faces ischemia. Inner ⅓ rd is supplied by direct perfusion and outer ⅔ rd by coronary arteries. Data suggests that it is a mammoth problem. In spite doctors give drugs like beta blockers, Ca channel blockers, ACE inhibitors, angiotensin receptor blockers, blood thinners, tissue plasminogen activators, thrombolytic therapy but none of the above modalities regenerate the dead tissue.
Our team has come out with a novel approach of regenerating myocardium by delivering stem cells into the myocardium by coronary angiography , and as a part of anti-aging protocol we give IV also. This has improved the outcomes of cardiovascular diseases.
Diabetes
Diabetes
Diabetes is a disease which has physical, psychological and economic implications and attacks the individuals at cellular (nano) level by causing microangiopathy. Worldwide 422 million, (5 to 6 million death/year) people are suffering from diabetes. Patients either have to be on insulin or take oral antidiabetic drugs. In spite of that, there is lot of fluctuations in sugar levels.
Diabetes is known for its draconian complication like-
Nephropathy
Retinopathy
Neuropathy
Ketoacidosis
Children suffer from Juvenile Diabetes. We have treated many cases of diabetes by autologous stem cells. With our high precision treatment all the fluctuation of blood sugar is controlled, patients who were on insulin left insulin, those who were on antidiabetic left oral antidiabetic and it prevented complications.
As a standard protocol our center give IV, Intrathecal (spine), Intravitreal eye and into the pancreas by angiography route.
Patients are given 3 sittings at the 1-month interval.
Aging
Physiological anti aging
Cosmetic anti aging
The process of aging starts after birth and manifests around 35 to 40 years when the senescence dominates over the regenerative processes inside the body. This is reflected as shortening of telomeric length of DNA.
Once a person crosses 40 years he develops diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disorders, osteoarthritis, and dementia. If physiological anti aging is done around 40 years person would never suffer from these diseases in future life.
For anti aging we give stem cells by IV route, intrathecal route so that they reach all parts of the body.
Children Diseases
Children Diseases
If children suffer from incurable disorders they are burden to family and society. They have to live long as differently abled person a life full of misery and pain. Social cost is always high. The common disorders in children are
CEREBRAL PALSY
CEREBRAL PALSY any injury to the brain of child in perinatal period leads to cerebral palsy. This disorder manifests as spasticity, dysarthria, improper mental development, inability to walk. Child has to pay the price of mismanaged delivery.
Conventional modality of treatment is baclofen, physiotherapy and surgeries to correct the deformities but all these procedures never regenerates the brain. Stem cells when given inside the spine through lumbar puncture helps in regenerating the tissue which has been damaged by hypoxia. We treat the patient as a day care procedure stitch less and scarless.
AUTISM
The exact etiology of autism is not known and child has a repetitive and aggressive behaviour. Chidren show a remarkable respose after treatment with fast development of milestones. We treat the patient as a day care procedure stitch less and scarless.
METACHROMATIC LEUKODYSTROPHY
This is a rare disorder of children where child survives upto to 2 years and there is gradual whitening of brain. Disease can be slowed down by stem cell treatment.
The disorder is due to arylsulfatase A deficiency. Leukodystrophies affect the growth and/or development of myelin, the fatty covering which acts as an insulator around nerve fibers throughout the central and peripheral nervous systems. Metachromatic leukodystrophy, like most enzyme deficiencies, has an autosomal recessive inheritance pattern.
JUVENILE DIABETES
This is diabetes of children and child has to be on life long insulin and face the complications of diabetes like nephropathy, retionopathy and neuropathy. By stem cell treatment the dose of insulin can be reduced and immuno-modulation can be done as antibodies keep on destroying beta cells. Stem cells are given through angiography route directly into the pancreas.
